Amy is a recent Ph.D. graduate from the University of Texas Medical Branch. She also holds a Master of Science in Kinesiology with a specialization in Exercise Physiology from the Southern Illinois University of Edwardsville. During her research, she studied body composition, strength training, physical function, and the role of social determinants of health on functional recovery.

Amy enjoys learning about biomedical science and trends in health technology and is pursuing a career in health and life science consulting. She is based in Crowley, Texas but is spending her first year after graduation traveling across the United States in her travel trailer.
