Amerria Causey is a Ph.D. Candidate at Harvard Medical School studying Virology. Amerria graduated Summa Cum Laude from Jackson State University with a B.S. in Biology. Subsequently Amerria received a M.S. in Cellular and Molecular Biology from Towson University. As a HBCU Alumnus Amerria has seen first-hand how crucial mentorship and support is in shaping the career of a minoritized student. Without the guidance of her mentors, she is unsure of where she would be. Amerria has a passionate love of science which she shares with everyone she meets. In her free time Amerria writes poetry, paints and roller skates.
